It's summer in the orchard, and the lush growth of the grass and wild flowers is looking good. We're especially pleased that the yellow rattle seems to have taken - the grass is noticeably shorter in the main area where this was sown a couple of years ago.
There are still a few flowers on some of the apple trees - including Court Pendu Plat, which was looking a little forlorn last month - and the medlars, seen here.
Today we held our midsummer picnic - in the orchard rather than in the Old Bowling Green for once!
