A reminder that the next BCOG working party is next Sunday 12th May, at 10am at the orchard site off Michlow Lane. Key tasks are:
- Weed soft fruit bed
- Harvest rhubarb
- Check stone fruits for pruning
- Flatten and spread soil from any molehills
- Checking of all trees to see if any need specific attention
- Check yellow rattle area
Useful tools will be:
- Spade and garden fork
- Wheel barrows or trugs
- Trowels and hand forks
- Secateurs
If you can make it, please come along. There will be a break about 11am so please bring a drink and snack for elevenses.
Please note that it is also the date of our 3-way orchard visit to Baslow and Tideswell orchards. If you are intending to join the visit please let Bridget know and we can arrange car sharing.
