First trees go in...

At our working group today we started planting trees. Admittedly not orchard fruit trees, but nevertheless it's a start. We planted 40 of the 105 shelter belt trees (the "jams, jellies and chutneys" collection!) that the group have been awarded by the Woodland Trust.

The remaining 65 trees will fill the gap along the lane behind the wall as and when it is rebuilt.

At our December working day we hope to plant our first apple trees, so put the date in your diary now!
