April showers...

Towards the end of last year, we prepared several wide strips of the grass in order to plant yellow rattle seed. The idea is that, over time, more and more yellow rattle will colonise the orchard, weakening the grass. Cutting the grass throughout the summer is a major task for the group, so it seemed at least worth a try. At our March working group there was no sign of the yellow rattle - but April showers bring forth yellow rattle, it would seem.
